在臉書上發言「是，我被做掉了」之後，林為洲今(1)日召開記者會表示，他希望終結國民黨內的「喬」文化，本次黨內初選國民黨全民調機制到最後在新竹縣功虧一簣，所以黨中央不做他來做，距離選舉還有六個月，他會每一個半月做一次全民調，只要是他民調持續保持第一就會參選到底。
國民黨中常會本周三通過臨時提案，廢除去年通過的提名特別辦法，並稱新竹縣選情複雜，授予黨中央提名小組彈性，可不用全民調決定新竹縣長提名人選。
林為洲說，中常會提案通過廢棄特別提名辦法相關規定，還稱因為新竹縣選情複雜，所以重新訂立規則，這讓人完全傻眼，也讓依照全民調規定，擬定競選策略的人像個傻子，更重要的是國民黨建立機制，終結「喬」文化的作為，最後是功虧一簣。
林為洲指出，本次新竹縣若是沒有依照全民調機制產生人選，就會成為新竹模式，未來不論是立委、議員、縣市首長初選，甚或是總統大選，只要選區有人提出選情複雜不適宜用全民調，就可以援引新竹模式處理，這對國民黨是後患無窮。
現在黨中央提名小組正在新竹縣聽取地方民代的意見，作為決定縣長人選的依據之一，林為洲說，地方黨部正在召開派系會議，但是卻讓特定候選人去聯絡特定幹部、代表到場，但他卻沒有被通知到場，也沒說要請他的幹部、代表到場。
未來是否有脫黨參選的可能性，林為洲說，他聽聞經過下周三中常會就會通過提名，人選傳聞就是新竹縣副縣長楊文科，但他還是會堅持用盡最後一份氣力，爭取國民黨的提名，不過一切都有可能。
